ITPE Union Member Advantages

1) The Industrial Technical and Professional Employees collective bargaining agreement contains the following provisions;

2) As a result of negotiations with contract employers, a majority of ITPE members are participants of three (3) ITPE Benefits Plans. The Health and Welfare Plan provides benefits for employee and his/her dependents. The Pension Plan provides pension benefits for the employee. The Annual Benefit Fund provides vacation, holiday, sick leave, bereavement leave, training pay and jury duty.

3) The ITPEU is governed by its Constitution. The Constitution provides for the nomination and election of a President, Secretary-Treasurer, three Vice Presidents and twenty additional convention delegates, all of whom are elected every three years by a majority vote of the ITPE members in good standing.

The ITPEU Convention, attended by the elected officers and delegates, is held every four years during the month of March.

The ITPE takes pride in its accomplishments. It is an organization dedicated to providing our members the best representation possible in negotiations and at the work place.

4) The ITPE has a PAC fund for the sole purpose of keeping politically active in support of legislators who are also dedicated in their support of workers' rights. The ITPE maintains an office in our nation's capital, which monitors all legislation that may have an impact on our members.
